Excursions
The conference excursions will take place on Thursday 3 August 2017. Please note that the excursions are optional and need to be booked separately in advance.
1: Hillforts of North-West Wales
This guided excursion will take us to several of the more spectacular and better known Iron Age hillforts in North-West Wales. We will visit Dinas Dinlle (of Mabinogi fame), Tre’r Ceiri, Castell Odo, Meillionydd and Garn Bentyrch.
2: Sites of the Princes of North Wales
This guided excursion will take us to some of the best-preserved castles of the medieval Welsh Princes of North Wales and a medieval llys. We will visit Dolbadarn Castle, Dinas Emrys, Dolwydellan Castle, Deganwy Castle and Llys Rhosyr.
